Chapter 11A

Part One: The Celebration

Welcome to Pandora Park, host for one of more anticipated weddings this season. I'm going to show you the whole thing a little backwards. So here in Chapter 11A I'll be bringing you shots from the pre-ceremony socializing and the reception. This will allow me to use Chapter 11B, the Ceremony, to better lead into Chapter 12.

Note to self for future weddings. Do not put the arbor on a dais. The guests don't know WTF to do. Half of them watched from the buffet table rather than sitting down.

Speaking of the buffet table, do not fill it before the ceremony... unless you really don't want people to pay attention.

Shall we meet some of the guests?

Selene, college friend of the bride and 'friend' *waggles eyebrows* of the groom.

And watch for the cheerleader in the back. She does the point and laugh thing a lot.

Lilaea, sister of Selene and college friend of the bride and groom. Possibly the only person who can claim to have played Vlad in chess and not had him cheat on her.

Farm Boy, er Rory Murphy, friend of the bride and acquaintance of the groom. Also Selene's 'significant other'.

Clay Simpson, 'special friend' of the bride and enemy of the groom. Clay is one of the dormies I moved out, grew up and moved into a house. He grew up nice, didn't he? His girlfriend Laurie (whom I also grew up moved in with him) is around somewhere.

This is also probably the best picture of Allyn, the woman in pink behind the table.

Allyn and Stephan, friends of the bride. Allyn used to have a secret love for the groom. Stephan and Allyn are also former dorm mates, grown up now and happily married. They're expecting their first child any day now. Allyn is also very good at avoiding looking at the camera, hence why the above picture is the best one I have of her. I wish she didn't (avoid the camera that is); with her makeover she's really pretty.

Maude Buttons, friend of the bride, and Sam Buttons, friend and coworker of the groom.

Tarynna Newsome; her fiancé is a friend of the groom. I can't recall the cheerleader's name. She's also a friend of the groom and, as you can tell, she really shouldn't be pointing and laughing at other people when they dance.

And of course, here's the bride herself.

In the background you can see Clay and his girlfiend Laurie (in the pink), and also Tarynna's husband Taylor Newsome talking to Lilaea.

And we certainly better not forget the groom, or he'll take it out on us. The groom has... issues... with several of the bride's guests, such as poor Ray here.

Now, what do people usually like to do at wedding receptions? Why eat, of course...

And fight. Er, wait a moment. That doesn't sound right...

It would seem we caught Ray just as he was giving it back after being poked one too many times by the groom. As I said, the groom has issues with most of the bride's male friends.

Okay, let's try this again. What people like to do at weddings is eat, drink, and dance of course. And the cheerleader, who really has no room to talk, is pointing and laughing at people again.

But wait... what's the bride up to in the background there? Let's spin around and try to get another shot of them.

Oh my. It seems the bride is dancing awfully close with Clay there. They do have a history together. Hmm...

Oh, and y'all may also have noticed that Selene and Farm Boy there have the exact same expression as they dance. Neither is overly skilled in the dance department. Of course, the sim who provided the archetype for Farm Boy would kill me if he knew I was posting pics of what a dork his clone was. *snicker*

Well, it would seem that the groom wasn't overly happy to discover his bride deep in the dancing embrace of another man. But then, he's been having issues with the guests all day. Seriously, I had to keep cancelling "poke" and "shove" interactions with either Ray or Clay out of Vlad's queue constantly during the reception. I guess Vlad's a little on the possessive side.

K2 doesn't seem too overly happy about the whole situation.

"Can't we get through just a few hours without him wanting to wipe the floor with one of my friends? We were only dancing."

I guess it's a good thing that he missed that "lower hands" a few minutes before he headed over then.

"Which one? Mine, or Clay's? *smirk*"

*facepalm* Okay, I guess Vlad may have a good reason or two to be annoyed and possessive. K2, you're married now. No fooling around with other men. You're not a desperate housewife you know. Sometimes I wonder if you're really a knowledge sim.

"Just because I'm married doesn't mean I can't stay in touch with my old friends.

But not "in touch" in the touchy-feely sort of way. Oy.

"Shouldn't you be starting the ceremony part of the chapter now?"

Don't distract me... but yeah, I guess I should
